What to Pack

Here is a detailed list of items you should pack before coming to Austin. Make sure you take a look at the Living in Austin section so you know what kind of weather to expect.

 

Here are some essential items that you NEED to bring:

• Passport

• Driver's license from your country (if you have one)/International driver's license

• At least $500 dollars in cash for first week/emergencies  

 

Post-Arrival Errands

(Don't worry, an Account Delivery member will help you with this!)

 

FIRST DAY 

• Meet AIESEC members at the airport 

• Get a cellphone 

• Fill out Program Validation Form

• Attend reception get-together

 

FIRST WEEK

• Get a social security number (you will need to bring your passport)

• Open a bank account (after getting SSN)

• Look for an apartment

• Look for transportation (car, bike etc.)

 

FIRST DAY OF WORK

Someone from the Account Delivery team will take you to work on your first day and finally introduce you to the company
